First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might

Alone and afraid, three months coming
A surgery, a wheelchair, and STILL I'm bumming!
If I thought, If I had had a dream?
I would have said this was a nightmare
But noone heard me scream.

So many little falls, because I try everyday
Still my left knee doesn't work,
The doctors still don't know what to say
The pain they took from my back
Returns stronger every new day
More X-rays, more pills, in my recliner I stay!

I close my eyes and try not to cry
As the days of my life
Seem to drift by.
I stand on Truth, as I fight for my home
A battle I feel, I am fighting alone.
If it wasn't for laughter, I would crumble and fall
Like the inside of my spine,my heart,
I wait for THAT call!
